With her roots in the North and her home in the South Gina Milanese has made her way across the Canadian landscape. Born in the Northern tree line of Dryden Ontario, Gina began singing at age 7 in her local church. At 19,she then made her way to the Rocky Mountains where she began a professional career as the lead singer for various country cover bands, such as Bullet proof and Electric Cactus. She also won many awards for classical singing, and obtained a bachelor degree in vocal performance at the University of Calgary, where she also excelled in composition and began writing her own music.
In 2001 Hamilton became home for Gina and her family. It was here that she recorded her first cd and won a Hamilton music award for this debut album She Shall rejoice, in 2007. Gina continues to perform both opera and singer/songwriter original songs.
